I just wanted to say that I finished my Doula training! It was so fun to go back to "school" and learn about something I love:) I already have a couple clients!!! I hope 2011 is a good year for pregnant woman that want support on their special delivery day!

Maggie and Dallin

I took my mom out to dinner last night as a thank you for staying up til 4:30am to make me a skirt for family pictures. We had a great time at Texas Road House and then I took her to Sub 0 icecream (very yummy)! After that we went to visit with my mom's cousin and her daughter that just moved here. It was fun getting to know then and chatting for a while!

When I came home I went to give my kiddos a kiss good night and tuck them in. I found Dallin sleeping in bed with Maggie. Abram said that Dallin got out of bed a couple times but he didn't know Dallin had gone into the girls room. Abram then said this is why we need another boy in the family so that Dallin has a roommate too! I thought this was such a sweet picture I just had to share!

Thank you Abram for getting the kids to bed while I went out and got a little break!

We have such a great time at Fossil Creek! It has changed a bit but still great! The water was even a tad bit warmer than it usually is! Both my girls did a little cliff jumping and so did our friends girls! I'm so grateful to Abrams Gma Carrie for letting us use her cabin and making this little day trip possible for our family!

This was our first time going to the Strawberry School House. It is the oldest School in AZ. The kids had so much fun sitting in the desks writing on the chalk boards!

So while we were waiting for Abram to get back to watch a movie our kids decided to curl up on our bed and wait. Well it wasn't long before they all fell asleep! What an easy way to put kids to bed!!!

Amalee Graduated Preschool!!!

I am so proud of my little Amalee! She graduated from Preschool and is so excited to start kindergarden! She has learned so much! She can write her name, knows all her abc's along with the sounds, knows her #'s to 100, is reading, and of course knows her colors and shapes!

In this first picture she is showing off her fly costume! At the graduation they all did a skit "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly." She had so much fun!

Here she just recieved her little diploma! She even got to keep her tassel!

My sweet little 5 year old! I can't believe she is growing so fast! I'm amazed and so pround of her and all she want to do and learn!

Maggie is doing a flip over the bar. They teach the little ones how to by having them walk up the mat then push off and flip over. Maggie loved doing it!

Amalee is stretching into the splits and standing on her tip toes on the balance beam!

So Abram and I have been talking about what we should put Amalee in since she is so petite. We decided that she is the perfece fit for gymnastics! Maggie of course wants to be just like her big sister so we put her in it too. Ms. Chelsea (Maggie's teacher) said that Maggie is a natural at it and will move up quickly. Right now she is in the pre-school class. Amalee was also good at what she was doing as long as she wasn't looking for me. She is in the level 1 class with Summer Jo her cousin! When Amalee was on the trampoline the owner of the gym was watching her and amazed at how springy she was and still able to keep her legs and arms together! Amalee is so excited to be doing this. She asks every day if she gets to go again today? Her classes are on Wed. and Sat.

Two Little Boys

After a hardy rainstorm filled all the potholes in the streets and alleys, a young mother watched her two little boys playing in the puddles through her kitchen window. The older of the two, a five year old lad, grabbed his sibling by the back of his head and shoved his face into the water hole.

As the boy recovered and stood laughing and dripping, the mother ran to the yard in a panic.

"Why on earth did you do that to your little brother?!" she asked as she shook the older boy in anger.

"We were just playing 'church' mommy," he said. "I was just baptizing him...in the name of the Father, the Son and in...the hole-he-goes. "

Foo Foo had babies!

We are so excited that Foo Foo had babies! My little sister has a holland lop bunny. I thought it would be a good experience for my girls to see and take care of baby bunnies. I didn't know for sure if Foo Foo was pregnant or not. Abram and I made the nest box and put it in her cage. I filled it will paper and hay and for about 3 days she would just take everything out of it. Then on Thursday morning when I went in to give her food and check the nest box she was in it and hadn't taken all the paper and hay out! I was finally about to get her out of the box and found 4 babies!!! Sad to say tho that one of the babies died:(

So here they are! 2 I think will look like the dad! And the little pink one I think will look like the mom!
My girls love they little babies and can't wait til they can hold and play with them!
Some people have asked what I'm going to do with them and I'm going to sell them! They will be ready for Christmas! I can't wait to see what they look like with their eyes open and fur all over!

I really can't believe how fast time flies. My little Maggie in now 3 years old! Here are just a couple pics of all her Birthdays!

3 years ago she was a round faced dark haired little baby!

By her first birthday she was a cute little blondie. She was already walking. So was such a sweet little 1 year old!

2 years old and still has her round little face! She just has the sweetest little personality. I can't help but love her so so much.

So today was her birthday again. Now Maggie is 3 years old. I have started a new tradition. On my girls birthday's they get to go out with just their mommy! Yes a nice little break for me too. So today I took Maggie the the mall and she wanted pizza for dinner then we had ice cream. She also got to pick out her costume for halloween, get her hair curled, pictures taken in the picture booth, then she got to pick a little present. She got little nail polishes to share with Amalee.

Maggie is so good at sharing with her sister. If Amalee asks for anything Maggie is more then happy to give it to her.

I am so blessed to have such sweet children. I just loved having my one on one time with my sweet Magdalene Julie!

I was trying to get things ready for Amalee's birthday party tonight so I put Dallin in his bouncy toy. He sits in it while I don't want him to get into whatever I'm doing. I was sewing up the rips in the girls princess dresses. One second he was fussing and the next when I looked at his this is how he was!

This is the first time he has fallen asleep in a toy or by himself without me helping him fall asleep. He is so cute!

He is even using his hand as a pillow. So funny!!!

I am such a lucky mom to have Amalee for a daughter! She is such a sweet girl and I just love her. She is my little peanut! From the day she was born she has been such a tiny little girl! And since Abram has been away working she has been such a great helper without complaining (well most of the time.) I really can't believe I have a 5 year old. I'm also lucky to have a little girl that everyone says looks just like me!

Amalee is sensitive, sweet, always wanting to help, great big sister, loves Jesus, Her Heavenly Father, going to church, and learning new things.

I think she enjoyed it a lot too cause I don't know the last time it was just me and her. She didn't want the night to end.

Amalee has been asking to make a cookie for daddy since he came home last Saturday. So we decided to make sugar cookies so that the girls and daddy could decorate them together! As you can see they had a blast!

Ok so I know that I have a ton of pic of my little boy on here and not so many of my girls. He is my third kid but my first boy. So I take a ton of pictures of him! This is him at 10 months! When Abram came home this weekend he wanted to spend as much time as he could with his kids. I should have taken more pics. He was so cute playing with them! This pic of Daddy with Dallin just melts my heart! I was trying to get the girls ready for church and he asked what he could do to help. I gave him Dallin and said to give him a bottle and that Dallin would probably fall asleep. This is the first time Dallin fell asleep with a bottle. Abram did such a wonderful job helping out. I love him so much. I know now why people say you don't know how sweet you have it til you taste the bitter. Well I have tasted the bitter and it has made having the sweet that much sweeter. I really do appreciate my hubby a ton more now that his job takes him away for a while.

So Amalee thought it would be fun to put a princess crown on Dallin. He thought it was pretty funny too! He usually takes his hats off but he didn't even try to get the crown off. I know if I let Amalee dress Dallin up she would but I don't think Abram would like that too much.

Mad Mud Volleyball

I know this post is way late. Sorry. Abram and his team won the Mad Mud Volleyball turnament again this year. They had a blast. There were more teams this year and had two courts. We had a blast cheering our team on!

Amalee liked the mud alittle more this year. She still didn't want it on her face but she had fun waking in it!

Amalee loves to make her brother laugh. Of course it isn't that hard to make him laugh because he is such a happy boy! We love having our little boy in the mix with our girls. He is a handful but we love him!

Solar Oven Cooking!

At first I was afraid to use my solar oven I didn't know what to cook or how to cook in it. But, this past Sunday my family came over for dinner and I wanted chicken. Well the crock pot could only fit one so I asked Abram if we should try the solar oven and if it didn't work at least we still had one chicken. Well it did work and it was actually better then the chicken in the crock pot! It was so moist and tastee! That is what made me try cooking in it again with a roast. (I didn't get a picture of the chicken because I was too busy trying to get everyone fed.)

So this is a picture of the first roast from the solar oven. I thought it tasted great! Abram said the outside was a little dry but the flavor was great and the inside of the roast was good and moist too.

After the roast I wanted to try a desert so I tried a chocolate cake! Again it turned out wonderful!

It got a little cloudy so it took longer then what it said on the box. But if the clouds didn't get in the way it would have taken the same amount of time as in a regular oven.

I am definitely enjoying this new toy of mine! Thank you to Abram and his willingness and help in getting our family prepared just in case!

He also likes my cooking so that is good!

Yard Work!

This morning we decided to trim our tree in the front yard. Abram said that when he was little his dad would have him jump in the trash can so they could get more stuff in it. So here is Amalee jumping in the trash can to get more branches in! She had a blast and thought it was so funny!

It was getting warm so the kids decided to lay in the cool grass! Maggie has a dirty face but I thought this was a cute picture! Our kids have so much fun helping their dad outside.

Maggie is ok!

Well last night we had my family over for dinner. All the cousins were playing upstairs in the loft and Maggie was looking over the pony wall. Her cousin was throwing things over the wall. This time he tried throwing a bean bag chair over and as he was doing that it hit Maggie who was standing on a toy and it knocked her over with it. She fell all the way down and hit the last step before the first floor. We called 911 and they said to be on the safe side they would like to air-a-vac her to the hospital. I was able to go with her! They did lots of x-rays and they all came back negative! We were able to take her home last night! I know she had a Guardian Angel watching out for her because how in the world can someone fall 20ft and come out w/ just a scratch on her back? This morning she is acting her normal self and already being a little feisty!

My girls love playing with their brother! They are always wanting to hold him and help in any way they can. So today I decided to just take a couple pics of them together.

This is Amalees' new favorite thing to do with her brother. Yes it does scare the heck out of me. But, he loves it and is usually laughing and smiling while she is spinning. So I just sit and watch. I can't say no when he is having fun with his sister!

Colorado River Trip Pics!!!

We look forward to this river trip every year! It is our favorite vacation. This year we camped in our tent instead of staying in a hotel. The girls loved it because they both have their own princess air matress. Amalee and Maggie had so much fun playing in the sand for 2 days with their cousins and friends. Dallin had fun eating trying to eat the sand and new foods! He didn't care too much for the water. It was a little cold for him. We did put him in the river a couple of times to cool him off. The temp was in the 100's. It really was a blast spending time with our family and friends. Tons of people came.

This first pic is of Amalee tubing with Jenna, Alexis (w/Amalee in the middle), and Julie. This is her favorite part about boating.

I just asked Maggie and Amalee if they wanted a cookie and Maggie said "I do!" Before I gave it to her I said she had to give me a kiss. She did then I said I love you and asked her how much she loves me? She said very sweetly "I love you as much as Jesus does!" I really do love my children and am so greatful when I get little reminders from them about our Savior's plan for us and just how much we really are loved.

Abram and I have been talking about giving our girls a little more responsibility. We decided that a pet might help at the same time being fun. They take turns feeding our new bunny and cleaning up after her! They love holding "Foo Foo" and letting her hop around the house!

This is Maggie and her first time holding her bunny! She was so excited to see her and hold her!

Amalee couldn't wait to see her little bunny. You can see on her face how excited she was to hold her!

A Day in the Park!

It was spring break for Abram and he didn't have any jobs so we decided to go to the park and have a picnic! Abram called his dad and invited him along. The girls love having Papa to play with! We fed the duck then played on the swings!

Amalee likes the little kid swings because she doesn't feel like she is going to fall off when she is going high "fast" is what she calls it!

It's the same with Maggie. She likes going high but it's more fun for her if she is on the little swings!

This was Dallin's first time on the swings. I don't think he liked it too much. Every time it went back and forth he would grunt. I do love this picture of us together! I think he has the sweetest smile! It was such a great day!

We went to Superstition Farms on a field trip with Amalee's pre-school. My kids love it! I think this is the 3rd year we have gone. And it gets better every time! This year the pre-school the day before the field trip did tie-die shirts to wear to the farm. I think they turned out great and of course the kids had a blast doing it! It was so easy too. All you do is take permant marker and put dots on the shirt in any shape you want then put a cup under the shirt with a rubber band and use an eye dropper and rubbing alcohol to spread the ink!

This is my Mom ( preschool teacher) with my girls on the hay ride. They take us around the farm to see all of the milking cows and teach us how we get milk and how many gallons one cow gives every day. I think they said 8 gallons. A cow is also pregnant 9 months.

The farm has a petting zoo and the kids get to feed goats, a donkey, and a horse! This is Maggie feeding the horse a carrot. I am so surprise that she did this because she usually runs away from any animal that comes close to her.

Doesn't Amalee look like she is having so much fun? I don't think she really liked holding the chicken. But she did like to pet the chicken!

I just love Maggie's smile! And again I'm suprised that she got this close to the chicken. She only held it long enough for us to get the picture!

Dallin even got in on the fun and tried to pet a chick! This is also the chick that Amalee liked and now she wants us to get her a chick. Dallin really liked the chick he was smiling under his hand.

After we went on the hay ride and fed and pet the animals they gave us flavored mild and of couse the girls loved it! Then we went to a class and they taught us more about the cows.

We then had homemade icecream! It was so good!

Sea World!

I have been wanting to go to Sea World since before Amalee was born. My uncle just had his first baby and was blessing her so it was the perfect excuse to go to Cali for both! I thought that my girls would have a blast and they did have lots of fun but if you ask Amalee what her favorite part was. She will say "holding the star fish!" So here are just a couple of pics from our vacation. I want to go again but without our 3 kids so we can do more without worrying about the stroller and feeding Dallin. We got a year pass for the price of a 1 day pass so I know we will be going again!

They have little kid rides but of couse our girls are so short that we had to ride with them! Both Amalee and Maggie love Elmo so of course they loved the ride!

Jump & Go

Dallin loves to move around and it makes it hard for me to hold him sometimes. So last night when we were at Michael's and Chelsea's house for dinner she let me borrow this jump and go. Dallin in his pink chair!

We bought this pink bumbo chair when Maggie was born and I'm cheap so I didn't want to go out and get another one! I think Dallin is adorable in it anyway! This was his first time in it and he loved it. I put it up on the counter because I needed some free hands so I could make the girls sandwiches and I thought Dallin would like to watch me and, so oila, he did like it! Oh and sorry about the messy kitchen.

He's actually smiling in spite of the color of the chair, or so says Abram.

He is such a handsome little boy even when he is sticking his tongue out!!! And don't you just love how his blue eyes match his jacket perfectly?
My little boy is growing up way too fast for me already:( I love the baby stage so much.

6 Year Anniversary!

Happy 6 Year Anniversary to us! can't believe all that has happened in this amount of time. It seems to be such a long time but I know that 6 years isn't really that long! I'm so happy to be married to my wonderful husband! He is such a wonderful person and he really does make me happy! We have of course had our hard times together but in the end those hard time have only made us stronger, helped us grow together, and love one another even more!

Hear are some pictures from our dating years til today!

This first picture is of us on a date to a corn maze. We had been dating for about 2 1/2 months!

This next picture is of Abram being creative! He doesn't really like dolls. He thinks their eyes are creepy. So, he decided to cut out little sun glassed for all of them. It turned out really cute!

So after dating for about 4 months we knew that either we needed to get married or break up. We actually broke up (long story if you want to know the details just ask) in the morning and then that same afternoon he proposed to me at a park! This was November 20th.

Abram wanted to wait til spring break to get married but I said "No, how about the beginning of February?" So of couse Feb. 8 2003 we got married in the Mesa Temple! It was raining when we got to the temple but it was beautiful we we came out of the temple!

After about 1 1/2 years later we had our "little peanut" Amalee! This is when to me we finally felt like a real family!

We like the 2 year space so in 2006 we had "Maggie" Magdalene. Abram said another girl I want my boy. But she is exactly what I wanted!

Dallin came 2 years later! But a month earlier then we wanted:( You see we wanted them to be 2 years apart but we also wanted our birthdays to go like this: Abram: July 14, Ashley: Aug 8, Amalee: Sept 10, Maggie: Oct. 5. So Dallin was sopost to be in Nov. But I counted wrong:( He is Oct 14!

We are so happy with our family and for our 6 wonderful years of marriage! Happy to be sealed in the temple.

25 Random Things

1. I've lived in AZ all my life.
2. I lived in only 2 houses before I got married.
3. I got married when I was 18.
4. Abram and I broke up in the morning and he proposed that afternoon.
5. I have 3 wonderful children (they drive me crazy sometimes!)
6. I have a very bad memory. I don't remember very much about my childhood.
7. I fell off a horse and blacked out.
8. I fractured my foot kicking a boy that wouldn't get off my trampoline.
9. It snowed in Mesa, AZ when I was little and I made a little snowman.
10. I love to dance.
11. I learned how to crochet after I had Amalee. I've made a blessing dress, about 6 newborn dresses, about 4 baby blankets. I love it.
12. I used to hate reading but I love to now. But I can't find the time too:(
13. I'm the middle child.
14. I knew I wanted to marry Abram when I was 14.
15. I wrote Abram on his mission but he threw away all my letters. He thought I was too young for him.
16. I want a large family. Abram is fine with just having one more. I think I will get my way!!!
17. Abram and I will be married for 6 years on Feb 8.
18. I gave birth to Dallin all natural ( no epidural) and will never have another epidural in my life. I'm proud that I can say that. I think the epidural gave me post pardum blues with both my girls.
19. I want to have another wedding day... it was so much fun!
20. I played soccer in High School.
21. I want to be a foods and chilld deveolpment teacher when my kids are all in school.
22. I took a swing dancing class at MCC with my dad after I had Amalee.
23. My favorite color is Yellow.
24. I want to do work in every temple.
25. I want to visit Portugal, Norway, Brazil, Nauvoo, and go on another cruise to Jamacia and Cozamel, Mexico.

Snow Day!

We drove up Monday to the gravel pits past Strawberry to play in the snow. Abram and I hadn't been in the snow since our Yellowstone trip 5 years ago! We were expecting the weather to be freezing so we were extra bundled, but quickly shed some layers after a few runs up the snow banks. Amalee and Maggie looked so cute and squishy. Many thanks to my sister Krissy for letting us borrow snowsuits for our girls! They worked great!

After every slide down, Maggie would squeal, "again!"

We all had a great time for about 2 hours. Then a Forest Ranger said everyone (like 100 people) had to leave because the area was closed and a Sheriff was on his way to issue tickets since we were parked illegally on the side of the highway. Bummer! He said to check the Forrest Service's website and maybe it will show that the area is open in a week or so. Why didn't they have it open during the Holidays??
So we drove back to Strawberry to Grandma Carrie's cabin. The hill leading to it was the perfect sledding slope, so we didn't drive up it. We parked at the base, played for a bit and then hiked up to the cabin. This was Dallin's first time there and Abram's first time in maybe 20 years when there was snow. We didn't stay long, (Abram really wanted to stay the night). It was so beautiful, too bad our trip ended on a scary note... My sister Julie and her b-friend Matt took the sled down the hill one last time. I was loading Dallin and Maggie into the truck at the base of the hill. They came cruising down, spun around and accidentally smashed right into me, which knocked me completely over (I don't know how I didn't drop Dallin) and slammed the truck door on Maggie's noggin. Poor thing. No broken bones, just some anxious moments and a few minor bruises.

Light Rail Fun!

Abram read in the newspaper that the light rail is free for the next couple of days. He thought it would be fun for us to ride it from start all the way to the finish and back of course! It took way longer than planned (like 3 hours) but it was fun! Thank goodness we found seats.

Quick update for anyone who might have heard that Dallin has a heart murmur.

We took him to the cardiologist on Thursday and had a EKG done. The cardiologist did hear a murmur but he said that it is very faint and isn't there all the time. He said that it is most likely an innocent murmur but wants to see Dallin again when he is 8 months old just to make sure. We of course are very happy with this news and very grateful that we have a health little boy!

I went visiting teaching today and my partner shared this story. I had never heard it before but I love it now. It really does help me know that our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ are always here for us and keep a watchful eye over us!

There was a group of women in a Bible Study on the book of Malachi. As they were studying chapter three, they came across verse three, which says:"He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver". This verse puzzled the women and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.That week, this woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities. The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot then she thought again about the verse, that "He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver." She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed. The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith "But how doyou know when the silver is fully refined?"He smiled at her and answered, "Oh, that's easy - when I see my image in it." If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has Hiseye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.

We had such a fun Halloween! First we went to Abram's work party then we went to my family's(Spier) neighborhood to go trick-or-treating with my brother and sister and their kids and then we went to Abram's parents house. The girls had a blast!

Family Night

For family night Abram wanted to carve pumpkins with the girls! He got on the internet with them and they looked at picture of what they wanted to carve. Amalee chose a house and Maggie chose a Face! They had so much fun coloring the pumpkins and taking the "guts" out of it.

The girls are in their panties because we didn't want them to get their clothes all messy.

The girls took their bath then came back downstairs to see their pumpkins carved and lit!

They were so excited! I think the pumpkins turned out great! Thank you Abram for being such a great dad! The girls love spending time with you!

Dallin is Here!!!

Well.... Our little bundle of joy is here!!! We left for the the hospital this morning around 2:00am and I had him at 3:54am! A quick but hard labor. It was so worth it to have him completely natural! I feel so much better and I know my recovery will be so much better too!

His name is Dallin Abram

I'm so happy he is here!

About 10 minutes after I got home from my baby shower Abram hops into the house and says "Ashley I need your help." He never tells me when he hurts himself cause he knows that I will try to fix it or clean it. But this time he really was in pain :( He was playing church basketball and landed on someones foot and rolled his ankle. He said he heard it pop like 3 times. He broke this same ankle in high school so I thought for sure it was broken again.

This morning he tried to walk on it and couldn't so we went to Urgent Care and got x-rays done. He just sprained it really bad. He is on crutches now and has to wear a brace. I'm so glad that he didn't need a cast!

Right when he got home from hurting his ankle.

A couple minutes after he took his shoe and sock off.

After hoping up the stairs to take a shower. He was really sweaty from playing basketball.

I can't believe how swollen it got!

Just a cute story... Amalee asked Abram " Can you get me a snack?" Abram said "No, I can't walk so good right now." Amalee then said "Can you hop to get me a snack?" It made Abram laugh. He thinks he has a very cute little girl. I agree!

Zoo Trip!

On Monday my mom called and asked if I wanted to go to the zoo. We go pretty often as the days cool down. My mom has a membership which is really nice. We all get in free for the year! As the weather gets nicer we will probably go about once a week. So there will be a ton of zoo pics!

It was a great day to go to the zoo. All the animals were out! Even the Lions and Tiger. They are usually laying down where the kids can't see them but this time they were walking around!

Maggie is my little sweetheart! She comes up to me all the time, pulls up my shirt, and kisses my belly! On Sunday she wanted to sit on the couch with me and when I sat her down she laid on my belly giving Dallin lovies. I thought it would make a cute picture!

Just a quick update... I already weight as much as I did when I had both Amalee and Maggie. I kept a string that I measured my belly with when I was pregnant with Maggie and I'm already that big. I just hope this means my little boy is bigger than my petite girls. I have just over 2 months left and I'm sure it will go fast! We are so excited to see what our little boy looks like. I tell everyone that I'm not quite ready to have another baby. He is easier to take care of in my belly then out... no diapers, no middle of the night feedings, and no crying. So as long as I get to see what he looks like he can stay in me forever! I think this is the most excited Abram and I have been to see what our little boy is going to look like. I didn't really think about that with our girls. As long as they were health I was happy!

Strawberry Fun!

This past weekend we went to Grandma Carrie's Cabin with some on my family (Spier). My mom was wonderful... She cooked breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Biscuits and gravy one day and Pancakes w/homemade syrup the next. It was awesome. She also made dutch oven stew for dinner. On Friday after we unpacked our stuff in the cabin we headed down to fossil creek. We had tinfoil dinners down there and played in the water!

Abram had fun with the girls in the "frothy" water! Amalee was cold and ready to get out.

Maggie was having fun holding onto the rope and letting the water move her around!

Sara and Booly(nickname)

On Saturday we hiked to Fossil Springs. This is where our lifesavers helped so much! Matt carried Maggie most of the way down and part of the way back up. This hike was a little over 4 miles. Since we had our girls it took about 2 hours to hike in and over 3 hours to hike out. Booly and Sara helped so much with Amalee. They carried her down most of the way and kept her mind off of walking the whole was up. Amalee was such a trooper. She walked all the way up except for the really rocky parts. My mom Booly and Sara would take turns carrying her.

My mom was so sweet too! She took my pack from me so that I wouldn't have such a hard time. I don't think I will ever do this hike again pregnant.

Muddy Day!

Abram had a fun day doing something he loves to do! We started the day with a mud volleyball tournament. They lost the first match but ended up winning the rest of their games and became the champions of the tournament!

I have the best husband! For the last couple of weeks we have been sanding down and painting Abram's old bunk bed for the girls! I didn't want to buy another toddler bed and mattress. I was looking online for a new bunk bed but Abram likes to make old things new! I thought this bed was ugly but once we painted it white and put it up in the girls room I think it looks really nice! Abram did most of the work because I didn't want to be out in the heat.

I tried to help a little but Abram has more muscle and was able to sand the wood faster.

This is our finished bed with our sweet little Amalee on top! She got to pick out her own sheets! She picked cute ones with hearts!

Amalee is looking down at Maggie! We tried to get Maggie smiling but she just wanted to go up top with her big sissy. We had to keep telling her no. I don't want her falling off.

This is just one more reason I have the best hubby! After dinner tonight I came into the computer room and he cleaned the kitchen and then surprised me with this wonderful ice cream sundae! It was the best one I have ever had! When he walked in with it he set it on the desk then gave me a back rub! I love you Honey!

Family Vacation!

This is Mine and Abram's favorite picture of the girls. It was sweet seeing them having fun together and Maggie actually wanting to hold hands with her big sissy! She usually isn't a touchy person.

I need to learn how to put the pictures in order. The second pictures you see are of the second day of our vacation. We went to Strawberry and spent the night in Grandma Carrie's cabin. She is sure a sweet lady to let family use it! We went down to Fossil Creek and let the girls play in the water. They got so cold. The water is always moving so the sun doesn't have time to warm it up. We had a blast and wish we could have stayed longer!

Amalee woke up really early and said she was hungury. I told her that I would be up in a couple of minutes. But, of course I wasn't so when I finally woke up at about 8:00 this is how I found her!

Someone at the creek was nice enough to as if we wanted a family picture and this is what we got. I think it turned out pretty good!

I just told Amalee if she wants her princee scooter that she had to smile for the camera! By this time she was ready to go. She was shivering a ton.

This was the first day of our trip! We went to Out of Africa. It is up in Camp Verde, AZ. I like it a ton better then the zoo. You see the animals up close and they look 10 times healthier. They are always out playing. They have a show called Tiger Splash and the worker and Tigers swim and play together. They don't train the animals to do any tricks. The tigers are just playing! As you can see in the first picture the black bear is pretty close behind the girls.

This is Maggie at the Critter Court. She wasn't afriad of the snake at all:) One of the workers tell you about the animal and then they let everyone in to pet the animal.

We went on a "safari trail" the zebera and giraffe come right up to the bus and you can feed the giraffe carrots and pet them!

We told Amalee if she would jump it to Daddy that she could have the Princess Scooter she had seen at Wal-mart. Of course she did it! Twice.

Last weekend we went to California for my cousin's wedding. My brother Greg has casts on both his legs so he ended up watching all his sleeping nieces! Doesn't he look happy?

Today 06/19/2008 I finally gave it and gave the girls a popsicle. I hate messes so I try and aviod messy food at all costs. But don't they look cute?

We went to our 20 week ultrasound and we found out for sure we are having a BOY!! Abram of course is very excited. Before we got there I asked Amalee "what if it is a girl" and she said "no it's a brother" she of course was right!!!

As everyone that looks at my blog knows I'm pregnant! I find out what I'm having on Monday the 16th! So I started to look back at what my two wonderful girls looked like when they were born and what they looked like on their blessing day! I can't believe how fast and how much they have grown!

Last Day of Swim Lessons

I was really happy that her class was so small! Amalee got a lot more one on one time. I think it helped her be able to swim! She really had a ton of fun and I hope I can have her do one more session this summer! She needs to work on taking breaths.

Today was Amalee's and Maggie's first day of swim lessons! I was able to get pics of Amalee because her class isn't a mom and Tot class. I think she did pretty good for not having lessons for over a year! Maggie also did a ton better then I thought she would. The only time she cried was when the teacher had her do "monkey walks" on the wall and go under water then grab onto the wall. She learned how to blow bubbles and loved doing that while kicking her legs! I'm so proud of my girls!

Sunday Morning!

Abram and I try to sleep in on Sunday mornings but it doesn't always work. Our girls wake up when the sun comes up:( I need to get darker curtains on their window. So when they wake up I tell them to go play and that usually works for a little while. Today they didn't even tell me that it is morning and time for breakfast. I just heard them downstairs so I told Abram "I wonder what Amalee is getting them to eat?" About a minute later Maggie is by my bed with her Chocolate donut in hand! Amalee has learned how to open the fridge and got out the donuts!

So this is what I get for trying to sleep in!

I really do think that Amalee thought she was being a big girl and trying to help! She knows how much I love to sleep. Of course she was being sneaky about it too!

Saturday Fun!

Abram likes to get lots of things done on Saturday's but he also likes to have fun with the girls! Maggie was already falling asleep when we thought of taking pictures of the girls so we only got a couple of Amalee! But she had fun getting her picture taken!

Amalee doesn't like wearing wet clothes so she always

ends up in just panties when we wash the car!

I told Amalee to get Abram wet so she is

trying to spray him with the hose!

Amalee loves going on bike rides with her daddy!

She always covers her face when she waves so it's

hard to get her face!

Funny Faces!

Well I know it has been a while since my last post:( That is because when I was at the river I dropped my camera into the river:( Well, we just got a new one! Thank goodness we bought the warrenty that included accidental spills! The damages to the one I dropped were too expensive for the Geek Squad to fix so they gave us a new one! So here are the first pictures with our new camera!

Magdalene I guess just found out that when she smiles and makes funny faces we will take more pictures of her! Of couse we already call her our little clown but I think this is the first time I have caught a funny face on camera!

She started folding her arms for prayer instead of just her hands. But now she folds her arms and says "humph" then brings her arms down. It's cute!

River Trip

We took a little vacation to the Colorado River with my family and extended family! I would have taken a tone more pictures but I dropped the camera in the river:( So the pics you see here are from the first morning. We definitely had a blast and hope next time more family and friends want to come!

Abram had fun rowing the girls around! The girls thought it was pretty fun too!

This is my brother Michael helping Amalee go down the water slide! Amalee said it was fun but didn't want to do it again because the water was too cold! It's true I never even went in the water above my waist because it felt like ice. But we really had a blast! I have more video of the trip but I will have to ask Abram to upload it because I don't know how! When he does you will see Amalee wake surf with my brother Gregory and go tubing with my sister Julie. She even fell off the tube and got right back on! I love that she is a little dare devil and loves to try new things!

Abram found this Power Wheels at the Boy Scout yard sale. It was all blue when we got it. The girls wanted it pink and purple. Abram thought that would be a fun project. He took it all apart and started painting! He had a blast! He still wants to put decals on it and make it even cuter! I'm glad he has so much fun with our girls!

Fire Escape!

Little House Fire Escape!

I told Abram that we should teach our girls about

fires after we saw them do this! Now they won't be

afraid to go out their window if they needed to. At

least I hope they won't be afraid. We actually haven't

made a real fire escape plan. But, I thought this was

funny. It made me laugh! I was surprised to see Maggie

do it!

Planting Our Garden!

We just got done planting our garden!
The girls love being outside and helping in
any way they can! We planted cucumber, corn,
squash, watermelon, carrots, strawberry, and cantaloupe!
It was so fun. Now we just need to see what grows!
Last time only our carrots grew but they were so good.
We can't wait to eat what grows this time!

Sherbet

So today we decided to "rehome" Sherbet:(

Abram was never too fond of her but that isn't the

only reason we rehomed her. She also started climbing on

the table and eating Maggie's food with her gross.

She was just getting to be too much for our family.

She is now with a nice family that will let her do more

then we let her do. They were talking about letting her

sleep in their bed with them. That was something I couldn't

do. Amalee cried when she realized what was going on.

I had told her that we were giving her to a new home and she

wouldn't be ours anymore but until she saw the family drive

away she didn't understand. So we will keep this picture of Sherbet

to let Amalee look at it when ever she wants!

The crazy part is that it only took about a hour to get her "rehomed."

Craigslist.org is awesome. I posted my ad and within 20min. this family

called and withing another 20 min. they were her taking her away!

Bed Time Stories

This was such a fun night!

After I read about 5 different books

we said prayer and our goodnights!

I tried putting Maggie in her crib but she kept

pointing back to Amalee so I would bring her back and

she would lay down with her big sissy!

Of couse when I tried leaving her there she didn't like it:(

She really likes her crib!

So we said goodnight again and they went to sleep!

This is our new kitty!
She went through 3 names before we picked one!
The names were Haley, Chloe, and Sherbet.
Abram liked Sherbet so that is what we went with.
Amalee still likes to call her Chloe sometimes.
